snafu...

My God is my source of strength and power. My God resides within me. My God is not jealous. My God doesn’t punish me everytime I commit mistakes. My God just let me learn my lessons in every mistakes and failures I did and encountered. My God is not a supernatural being. My God is not a he or a she. My God is my will, my faith, and my life. My God is everybody’s God, but most people just attributed theirs to what the society dictates them. My God lives and dies with me. My God stays forever with me.

This life is meant to be lived not to be analyzed or to be debated at. We are not here to impress each other but to enjoy our life’s journey towards the limitation of our being a human. Frankly speaking, one should not seek for a meaning because it’s already there. Seeking or finding is not the correct term. It should be “recognizing” ones meaning. I had easily recognized my meaning because I’m not dwelling in the past nor I’m obsessively anticipating the future. What I’m doing is I’m living my present to its fullest and I treat anything as if it’s my last. It is only in this way that I could truly enjoy my life. I’ve seen a lot of people who just died and missed so much of their lives. It’s better to do anything you want rather than regretting at the end because of not doing anything.

Bisrock blogsite mentioned in FHM...

A friend told me that my bisrock blogsite is mentioned in FHM's June issue. I immediately get my copy of the said issue and scan the pages. And here it is...

The write up is a part of the "Rock n Roll Joyride" article sponsored by Red Horse. It's subtitle is "BISROCK, CEBU'S BEST PRODUCT SINCE YOYOY VILLAME". This is what the article said:

On the surface, Cebu bands dabble in pretty much the same sounds as their Manila counterparts. But the crucial difference is how they reproduce their sound in an album. In that part of the game Cebuanos trample the competition. Case in point, Urbandub. "When we went to the studio where Urbandub recorded their albums, the equipment were antiquated," enthused Sandwich guitarist Diego Castillo. "It's amazing how they got their amazing sound."

You can credit that to their reps as a musical town courtesy of their guitar-makers, or heck just Yoyoy being there, but it is quite obvious the sound of Cebu is globally competent.

At the end of the article my bisrock blogsite is mentioned...

APO

Hmmmn...I've known a lot of fraternities here in Cebu, but only one has caught my attention saliently. APO or Alpha Phi Omega is a true paradigm of what a fraternity should be. Unlike other fraternities which gained notoriety due to violence, APO stands with its goals and missions, and that what made the organization a role model in our society. Instead of bragging about high-powered guns and private goons (like what the members of other fraternities are doing), APO has a community service-oriented activities that alleviate the hardships of the common people. This kind of "fraternitism" should be the one that should be practiced by all fraternities. And these fraternities should also train their members in keeping their feet on the ground. (Base from my observations most fraternity members especially those who are into violence are braggarts...). Check more of APO Zeta Omega (ΖΩ) here.

A Plan To Conquer Metro Manila

The year is 3, 333. The beautiful archipelago of the Philippines, once the crib of the mighty Filipinos is threatend with devilish attempts toward sadistic damnation, as the Empresses and Emperors of the two big islands in the south combined forces to conquer the most progressive and biggest island of the north. The plan is headed by Empress Of Drac (ME), the sole ruler of Central Visayas Region. She is one of the cunniest among their clan and she has no inhibitions when it comes to power. She has the strongest and largest batallion of zombies and vampires, all ready to attack their targets at her command.

The plan laid by the Empress has a back up in case the first one would fail. Plan A is to assasinate Count Legolas, the ruler of Luzon (especifically Metro Manila) who brutally turned down their offer to combine forces. The Count is guarded by the most elite hi-breed vampires. Which means that they are already immune to sunlight and are already veterans in close-combat, and armed with high-powered automatic rifles. They are way too proud of their cloned armies, they believe no one from the south can destabilize their force.

Empress Of Drac hired Wickedbitch, the most notorious underground assasin, along with Pervertsniper and her sidekick JC_Hitomi, the famous snipers in the south and Wicked’s intimate comrades. When this three lethal vixens work together they are unbeatable. They will penetrate Metro Manila’s Main citadel and will mimic the faces and assume roles of the three Victorian princesses whom they will kidnap (before they’ll arrive in Metro Manila). As what the Empress planned, Wickedbitch will assasinate Count Legolas on his birthday that will be held in the Supreme Hall inside the Main fortress. They will introduce themselves as the three princesses whom the Count invited to his birthday celebration.

And after they settled down in their private suites the mission would immediately begin. But it should be very discrete, that even their Oracle would fail to notice. First, Pervertsniper and JC_Hitomi will fire the first special bullet, soaked with poision formulated to numb the primary senses of the Count. With this he would be automatically paralyzed, that way he cannot make any moves to lead his armies. And then Wickedbitch will fire the second bullet that would reduce the him into ashes. But before this, they should find a way to put a hidden micro surveillance camera in his quarter so that they can anticipate in advance what he will be wearing during the party. And since his weakest spot is his neck they should see to it that whatever accessories he will wear can be penetrated by the bullet they will be using. If this will come into realization, a few seconds after the Count will be assasinated all the Supreme leaders will also turn into ashes. The survivors and even the hi-breed warriors would lost their supreme commandants and they got no other choice but to bow down to the Empresses and Emperors of the South. They will be forced to dress and act like Southeners, and they should give higher donations to the royalties.

But if Plan A will fail, if the three hired vixens will be captured before they can execute their mission, Wickedbitch would send a critical signal to the Empress. And she got no other choice but to shift to Plan B. Bomb the whole Luzon area with atomic and multi-layered ultra sonic bombs that would annihilate the Count’s armies in one attack. A few seconds after the critical signal is delivered thousands of shadow planes will come out from the sky and the whole Luzon area will be mercilessly rained with atomic bombs and deadly bullets. Plan B is actually called “The Desperate Move”, because the Emperors and Empresses know how huge the casualties would be after the attack. But they got no other choice. If Plan A will fail, they are extremely sure that Count Legolas will attack them and that they don’t want to happen.

Local "Racism"

Hmmn...I've read an article a long time ago entitled "Racism, Filipino Style" from getrealphilippines.com. It is written by a guy named Benigno. The article is quite sarcastic in nature but surprisingly it is mostly true to almost all Filipinos. He rants about Filipinos getting scared of going abroad because of racial discrimination without taking into consideration that we also are getting discriminated in our country by our beloved Filipino fellows by virtue of the way we speak (especially the English language), the color of our skin (this one I hate a lot), the schools we came from (the elite ones are from private schools), and even how tall we are. He indirectly stated that Filipinos are hypocrites because we say we are free from foreign conquerors but the truth is we are like puppies in front of them and we even give them special treatments more than our fellows. We are complaining about foreigners getting hold of our major business industries, but we are actually fascinated with these people that we are like silly beggars in their presence. Lastly, Benigno stated that Filipinos are just good in complaining but they don't really make any efforts to pursue what they want.

I couldn't agree more with Benigno's views and opinions. As an ordinary denizen in this country I was once become a subject to this what we called "Filipino Racism". We are so conscious of the color of our skins and we always look up to those fairer-skinned mortals. In my very young age I tend to hate myself because of my skin color. How I couldn't be when all my classmates are teasing and bullying me because of it. I even questioned the unknown why I got a skin like this and why my classmates despise it so much. At an early age, I was harshly segregated from everyone because of that trivial reality. How pathetic I was that time. But well, that is history. I considered it a part of this society's rotten culture. And I believe that wherever you may be discrimination will always be there and it would be up to you if you will let it degrade your integrity and confidence.

It bothers me a lot how our fellows tend to categorize us when it comes to our English fluency. The ones who speak it well are the elite ones and the others are in the lower class. I always find it easy to speak to foreigners in English rather than talking English to my fellow Filipinos. It is because most of us are like English Professors who tend to evaluate and criticize us in every punctuations, pronunciations and grammars we are using. It is so sad that we are too proud in speaking English but we barely know how to speak our local dialects. It irritates me a lot while commuting in a jeepney with fellow passengers talking in English like drunken assholes (just like telling every passengers that hey, we are elite we speak English). Oh, well that is my point of view or maybe I'm just too short-sighted here. I couldn't contain myself but laugh at our own silliness. We rally in streets shouting about freedom and despising foreign capitalists, and then, after that we go to McDonalds and drink Coke Float and eat Mac Burgers. Filipinos are funny people I may say. Sometimes what we say contradicts to what we do. That's why I couldn't blame Benigno's claim that we are only good at complaining. Well, it is still great to say that not all Filipinos are like that. Racism will always be there. You couldn't stop people from labeling you and it's all up to you how to react on that. Even our president is not spared. Yet, she proves to all that height doesn't matter. It all boils down to performance. Filipinos are just good in looking at other people's mistakes, and I'm sure we don't differ that much from any caucasians or africans out there.
